Building Your Jewelry Wardrobe

Building Your Jewelry Wardrobe

“Fashion fades, but style is eternal.”

Yves Saint Laurent

It’s been said time and time again by many… fashion fades; style is forever.

Your personal style is the way you express yourself through aesthetic choices – hair, clothing, accessories… especially jewelry. Your style is something that grows with you, yet somehow remains steadfast throughout your lifetime. It’s a unique expression of you. Personal style is timeless.

If you do not feel like you have your personal style set in stone yet… timeless jewelry is the perfect way to start, and we’re here to help build your jewelry wardrobe.

We always think that the first piece to incorporate when starting your jewelry wardrobe would be a pair of diamond studs. They are not only something that you can wear running around in a jeans and t-shirt during the day – to pairing with an evening gown at night, but it’s something you can come back to time and time again.

Diamond studs simply stand out all on their own, but they can also compliment larger statement pieces without taking away from them. They truly are the base to any jewelry wardrobe.

We love this pair from Roberto Coin.

If you aren’t a big fan of sparkle, a pair of pearl studs offer the same promise as a pair of diamonds – classic, timeless, forever.  They’re also a must for every jewelry wardrobe.

Then, of course, there’s the tennis bracelet. If you don’t know the background of the tennis bracelet, it came to reign because of tennis professional Chris Evert. She always wore a beautiful diamond bracelet during every match as she moved up the ranks in her career. In 1987 Chris was in the middle of an intense game at the US Open when her bracelet suddenly flew off of her wrist, causing the jewels to spew all over the court! The match was paused as she hunted them down. This style of bracelet was deemed “the tennis bracelet” and it became insanely popular – however, due to the classic look, the tennis bracelet has become a staple in many people’s jewelry wardrobe… it lives in the same vein as a classic pair of diamond studs: it can be worn daily, passed on through generations, and will never go out of style! (To avoid a Chris Evert moment, ensure that your tennis bracelet is not too loose so it won’t have the chance to snag.)

Suzanne Kalan offers an interesting twist on this classic piece, which we love:

Something else that many people don’t think about including in their wardrobe are stackable rings!  We are talking rings that are thin, therefore “stackable” and easy to mix and match. Simply wear one single ring for a delicate look or wear four or five to knock things up a notch! The possibilities are endless when it comes to stackables, and it’s fun to change up the assortment depending on your mood. Kwiat has the perfect stackable rings in fun colored gems, and also just classic diamond.

Lastly, there is nothing as marvelous as a diamond solitaire necklace. Something as simple as a diamond on a chain can make a statement within itself, but with the layering trend that we are currently loving, it’s always great to wear to incorporate a little bit of sparkle. A diamond solitaire necklace is a steadfast piece that will always shine in your jewelry box, and on you.
