Emily Williams, Jewelry Designer. Well that was fun to say!
Little known fact: When I was growing up, I wanted to be an archaeologist (bet you didn’t see that one coming) — but on my first (literal) dig out in California, I quickly realized I was destined for a life a little more creative and a lot more colorful. Fast forward just a few years, and I’m now realizing my childhood dream of searching for hidden treasures and uncovering beauty… but it looks a little different than I expected it to.
As a lifelong jewelry lover, it’s been a goal of mine to expand my design repertoire into the world of gemstones — and I’m so excited to share that this dream is now a reality. We recently launched the Be x Lauren K Collection in collaboration with Lauren Kessler of Lauren K Fine Jewelry, and the five-piece ring collection has me feeling like we struck gold.
But First, A Little Background…
For years, Be On Park has served as the ultimate destination for colorful, meaningful, and playful jewels to add to any collection. We’re so proud of the assortment of brands we carry (truly, they’re the best of the best), but I always knew I wanted to contribute my own design and style to our inventory.
As a seasoned interior designer, I’m no stranger to the intricate process of bringing a vision to life. If you know jewelry, though, you know that the design process is unlike anything else in the world and requires expert insight and precision. Thankfully, I knew just the person to help me out….
A Serendipitous Partnership
I’m a big fan of Lauren Kessler, the mastermind behind Lauren K Fine Jewelry. After selling her stunning pieces in store and meeting her a few years ago, we knew our color-centric styles were a match made in heaven — so combining our similar tastes, her jewelry-designing skill, and my industry knowledge was a no-brainer.
It’s All About the Stones
Despite my toe-dipping into archaeology, I’ve always been one to dig — whether for the perfect accessory to add to a home or the right pair of shoes — so my foray into gemstone selection feels entirely natural. Something I love about Lauren’s process is that she begins with stone selection, effectively allowing the jewels to do the talking, and then creates a one-of-a-kind piece around a stone as unique as the person who will wear it. Instead of mass-producing items, I wanted to create a collection made up of pieces that tell the stories of the stones… and that’s exactly what we did.
